Find Us at ANCOR Connect

The connection between housing and services continues to get more attention across the IDD space, and ANCOR Connect ’26 is one of the places where those conversations are happening more openly.

People First Communities will be attending this year’s conference in Boston from April 21–23, alongside providers and partners who are working through how to adapt to what’s changing.

As the landscape shifts, providers are dealing with a mix of pressures. Workforce challenges remain a constant, and reimbursement continues to evolve in ways that are not always predictable. At the same time, demand is not slowing down. Those factors are starting to influence decisions that used to feel more fixed, including how real estate is owned and managed.

Where Housing, Services, and Technology Intersect

Today, providers are looking for ways to operate more efficiently without compromising quality. That’s starting to change how housing, service delivery, and technology work together across the industry.

At ANCOR Connect, those conversations are a big part of the event. Alongside providers, you’ll see operational partners and technology vendors who are helping organizations rethink how they deliver care, grow responsibly, and better support the people they serve.

Our team will be there to connect with organizations working through longer-term decisions—whether that involves growth, restructuring, or creating more stability within their current footprint.

In that context, real estate becomes harder to treat as something separate from the rest of the business. When it’s structured intentionally, it can free up resources that can be redirected into staffing, program needs, or other operational priorities, while also reducing some of the day-to-day friction providers are managing.

People First Communities Can Help

Providers work with People First Communities in a few different ways, including sale-leasebacks, identifying and acquiring homes in new markets, and transitions from third-party landlords.

In practice, that usually translates to:

  • Access to capital that can be redirected into staffing, programs, or near-term needs
  • Less time spent managing property-related issues
  • Homes that can better support accessibility or new technology
  • Stability for the people living there, even when ownership changes

Let’s Connect

Whether you’re planning for growth, rethinking your real estate strategy, or just trying to make sense of what’s next, we’d welcome the conversation.

If you’ll be at ANCOR Connect ’26, let’s find time to connect.
